Spring Show

From the student spring show. The two paintings on bottom won me the Dean's Award. They were selected by great local artist and curator Heyd Fontanot!

WIP

These will be made into paintings for my series of women. I believe it will have twelve paintings. Five are painted. Hopefully I will have four more done by then of the semester.

It's been a while since the last update. All I can do is get back on the horse. There's a new painting coming very soon!

This piece was started when the sheet of vellum fell perfectly over the words. Normally I don't do such spontaneous things, but it looked perfect.

Do you think this is done? I was going to make her intestines more glistening, but I thought without it reminds me of Francis Bacon. What do you think?

My piece from the previous post got accepted! I'm really honored that they choose me for one of the 30 spots, and I will be the only student from UTD. My first thought when I saw that was "Did Frank Tringali and Yaseen Benhalim not enter?" Other than that it feels very strange and I'm nervous about it. Hopefully I can make UTD at least look crazy and violent.

Fresh Meat

This would be painting number four. It's starting to look like a series. I feel terrible that it's been so long between posts. At least now I have a glut of work that will keep me posting regularly for the nest few weeks.
